Why adopt a pet?
Instead of buying an animal from a breeder, you can adopt a pet that needs a home! It usually costs less than buying from a breeder, and you are also helping an animal in need find a loving home.
Why chose a local shelter?
By going to a smaller, more local shelter instead of a bigger one, you are not only helping an animal, but you are also helping that shelter stay open. Since smaller shelters don’t get as much attention, people might not think about them when they want to adopt a pet and might choose a bigger shelter instead. When you adopt from a shelter, you are giving an animal in need a chance to have a loving home.
Before you adopt:
Before you adopt, make sure you are ready for the responsibility. Pets need food, care, attention, and lots of love. Make sure you can give them a safe and loving home.
