My Girl Scout Silver Award Projext
The goal of my project is to help smaller local animal shelters and rescues get more attention and help more animals find loving homes. I want to make it easier for people in my community to learn about boutique shelters and the animals they have available for adoption. To do this, I created a website where people can find information about these shelters and discover ways they can help or adopt. I also created a pamphlet to spread awareness about these organizations and have provided copies to local libraries and animal supply stores. Through this project, I hope to encourage more people in my community to consider adopting, supporting local shelters, and getting involved in helping animals in need. I will also document my experiences and what I learn throughout the project to show how community awareness and involvement can make a difference for local animals and shelters.
